  1. Meetings, Actions and good things

October 29, 2003 by Naomi Redding

What’s up. Today has been a good day. Talked with Prof. Price about Beta Gamma Sigma. Had our Eberhard School of Business Student Association (ESBSA) meeting today–good meeting–decided to have a faculty jeopardy game at our end-of-the-year dinner. I made a form which is pretty fun. Classes are going well. I’m in love.

Hmmm… I’d like to decoupage something. I cut out a few pictures and I’d like to cover something in them. Perhaps I’ll cover a box for art supplies. Who knows.

I like cookies. I like pumpkin pies. I love our family. My life is full of love.

    Have a great day,
    ~Naomi

Hi. Life is…good. I got a letter from Mom today. Thank you so much! We really should spend more time together. I have no tests this week which is very nice. Perhaps I can get ahead on a few projects. I’ve been journaling a little bit. I want to keep writing, drawing and painting more than I do right now. One of my friends today said that I have really improved a lot. That’s nice to hear. I need to buy more blue watercolor paint. I have perhaps 1/5 of my lighter blue half-cake left in my traveling set. I’ll have to get some more.

Mike is good. We’re having a halloween party this weekend (after I take the practice GMAT on Saturday). It should be fun.

I was able to scan in a few pictures from France.

  3. France pictures

The gare in Nice from where we would travel to Cannes, Antibes, Menton, Monaco, Monte Carlo, etc. I drove a TGV to this Gare from Nice St. Roch (5 mins on the fastest train in France…pretty fun!)

My last view of Nice from the plane. Everyday I would watch the planes arc overhead, imagining the tourists taking their last looks at our lovely plage…this was my last view and I treasure my days here.

This is the immeuble where I stayed for six of the eight weeks. It was great. The view from the 4th floor is pretty good and I could see out the back balcony as well…it was wonderful.

  5. Life is good

October 24, 2003 by Naomi Redding

I love life. I’m pretty happy today as I have been lately. Last night I looked through my three French journals and it was like visiting an old friend. I must keep writing! I found out that there’s a French club here on campus so I may start conversing with them.

Back to english…I am writing a biography on Ben and Jerry for my Mentor III class. We’re learning about options (call, put, convertable, futures) in my international financial markets class. We’re studying decision-making in my operations management class. We’re calculating the present value of future cash flows in my financial markets class. I’m still working driving the golf cart around campus and at Fern Lodge some weekends. I love Mike. We’re having a halloween party soon–it should be awesome! I got the tanktop I ordered from xyzant.com (CafePress). What else? I’m considering cutting my hair to shoulder length ( What do you think?) Before I cut it though I’ve been trying different styles (braids, parting it in a different spot, different way of making/securing a bun, etc).

I’m taking the practice GMAT next saturday. I sent a bday package to Rachel today. I am happy. I’m a belly dancer. That is really fun. I started taking classes at our fitness center and I love it. We were going to perform but it was cancelled so now I just dance for myself. It’s so fun! I decided to show off some of my moves this Halloween as a *you guessed it* belly dancer.

Maybe I’ll scan in my French pictures tongith

  6. Hi

October 17, 2003 by Naomi Redding

What’s up? Today has been kind of a downer day for me. I woke up not feeling well. Eventually I felt mostly better but today has been a bit of a bummer. Oh well. My roommate has a scanner so hopefully I’ll scan in my pictures from France soon.

Do you have any good news for me? I’d love to here about your sunshine. Send me something fun: naomcvey@hotmail.com.
    Until next time,
    ~Naomi

Here’s another picture from my archives:

By the way, this is the “Smart Car Roadster”… I love it. If you thought the MiniCooper is small, you haven’t seen this petite fits-in-my-pocket sports car. This would be a fun car to have here in California.

  7. what’s up

October 14, 2003 by Naomi Redding

I did some thinking tonight. Here are my priorities: 1. enjoy my life 2. be a great familymember and friend 3. do things that satisfy my soul (like painting and taking long showers) 4. do well in school.

I decided that it would be ok if I didn’t get all A’s this semester. I still will do well in my classes but I will not try to force myself to stay up way too late night after night. I did not join a sorority while in college; I want to dedicate myself to more non-academic endevors such as being a great vice president for Beta Gamma Sigma (the prestigious business honor society).

Tonight I painted a picture of my new teddy bear with a rose petal on his nose. Mike gave me two dozen roses this weekend! Roses are really wonderful things…I think every woman and girl loves to get them. 🙂 I sure do. I have a pretty big test tomorrow in International Financial Management which I will study for, but I decided that it’s ok if I don’t ace it. I prefer to do well in school but if I don’t do things that I really enjoy (such as painting my delightful bear), what will I be left with??? A diploma and a transcript, but no colorful journal pages and pictures.

And so I painted. Which reminds me that I need more blue paint.

We had a big get together, the housewarming party, in June. It was so fun!

  10. Wedding news

October 13, 2003 by Naomi Redding

Mike and I have decided to change the date of our wedding! We’re both going to finish our programs of study before we tie the knot. This means that we’ll probably get married in 2005. While I am really looking forward to being married I do not want to make our first year as newlyweds more stressful by commuting to Stockton (3 hours per day). We’ve both decided that it’s a better idea to wait. We are still really excited about getting married and we hope that we can have a big engagement party soon.

    We’ll see.
